A Little About Mrs. Amoss

I grew up in the Kennett area and graduated from Kennett High School.  I attended James Madison University in Virginia, where I majored in Early Childhood Education and Psychology.

After college graduation, I moved back to Pennsylvania and was very fortunate to get a job in education teaching kindergarten.  In 1998, I began teaching kindergarten at Chadds Ford Elementary.  I taught kindergarten for two years.  In 2000, right after getting married, I made a change and began teaching second grade.  Second grade was the grade I always wanted to teach and I am thrilled to be teaching at Pocopson now!

While teaching, I went back to school and earned my Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Neumann College.  I also earned my Elementary Education Certificate from West Chester University.  I continue to take education courses to keep myself current in the new trends for education.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my daughter Milana and my family and friends.  Milana was born on April 26, 2006 and I am enjoying being a first time mom!  My other favorite pastimes are going to the gym and SHOPPING!
