About The Program:
Pocopson Elementary School offers instruction on band instruments (woodwinds, brasswinds, and percussion) for students in grades 4 and 5. Students receive a half hour small group lesson during the day every 6 school days as well as 2 full band rehearsals at recess every 6 school days. My name is Mr. Miller and I am the director of bands at PES. I am in the building on cycle days 3 through 6. If your child is not enrolled in the band program and would like to be, feel free to contact me via the E-mail address or phone number to the left of this paragraph.
Current Important Information:
5th Grade Concert Band lessons have already started and rehearsals begin on Thursday, September 18 ("E" day).
4th grade beginner lessons start on the week of September 16.

Concert Attire:
Shirt:
Dress Shirt. Preferably white with collar, or blouse. Ties are optional.
NO tee shirts or shirts with writing or pictures on them. (Logos like "Izod" etc. are allowed)
Pants:
Dress pants / slacks. Preferably black.
NO jeans, sweat pants, or sports clothes, etc...
Dress / Skirt:
Must be past the knees when sitting down.
Dress: Preferably a black, white, or combined black and white dress.
Skirt: Preferably a black skirt with a white shirt as described above.
Shoes & Socks:
Dress shoes. (NOT sneakers)
Dress socks or stockings. (NOT white gym socks please)
