OverviewBecause of an imbalance in elementary school enrollments, administration has been directed to develop and implement an attendance area redistricting plan (2007-2008 district goal nine). HistoryIn November 2001, the School Board reaffirmed their June 1998 decision to modify the grade structure at the elementary level from a K-3 (CFES, UES), 4-5 (HES) to a K-5 (all four elementary buildings) structure. This required a comprehensive redistricting effort which started in April 2000. After receiving a report from a redistricting committee, the school board voted to adopt the recommended attendance boundaries. The boundaries were effective starting in the 2002-2003 school year and remain in effect today.
The 2001-2002 committee commented that the accepted plan would have a life of three to five years. The 2007-2008 school year is the sixth year. As a result, the board adopted goal nine which directs the administration to review attendance boundaries. Meeting ScheduleThe following meetings have been scheduled by district administrators.
