Referendum Exception Application Homestead/Farmstead Exemption InformationIf voters approve a change in the district’s tax structure at the May Primary Election, qualified homeowners will receive a discount on their property tax.
To qualify, a homeowner must have completed and filed a homestead/farmstead exclusion application with the Chester or Delaware County Assessors Office. The county processes the application and notifies the homeowner if it is approved. Homeowners need not refile if their current residence was approved in connection with state Act 72. The application must be filed with the Chester or Delaware County Department of Assessment by March 1, 2007.
