District Employee Named Parent of the Year!

Julie Krause, a district employee, has been awarded the Parent of the Year Award by the Pennsylvania Association for Gifted Education.

The Pennsylvania Association for Gifted Education presented The Parent of the Year Award on Saturday, April 18, 2009 at the annual Pennsylvania Association for Gifted Education (PAGE) conference.

The Parent of the Year Award is given to a parent whose contribution to gifted education has been exemplary. To qualify, the nominee should be: A consistent advocate of appropriate programming for gifted students, One who has had an impact on gifted education in Pennsylvania through outstanding leadership and/or creative innovation either at the local affiliate or state level and One who has harnessed the energy and support of teachers, administrators, and parents for the benefit of students. Congratulations Mrs. Krause, you truly deserve this award!
