Overcrowding - These images show a typical stair tower, and the cafeteria which has not been expanded since it construction in 1959. Student lunches will have to be increased to four per day from 10:15am to 1:15pm to accommodate the current student body. |

Storage - The images above show classrooms and offices which have been converted from mechanical and storage space. Besides being inadequate to student and teacher needs, room for storage has been severely curtailed. |

Storage - These images show the result. Because storage space has been used for classrooms and offices, items are stored in the hallways or exterior storage has had to be purchased. |

Inadequate Classrooms for Today's Programs - These images are examples of inadequate classrooms. Particularly, science and art rooms need to be updated. Note the lack of space between lab tables in science. |

Inadequate Athletic Areas - Both the fields, which are used constantly for many different teams, and the weight room are inadequate. There are too many students and the use of the main field, which is natural grass, has to be limited. The weight room is inadequate and some equipment has to be kept outside in the hall. |

Auditorium - Not changed since 1959 when enrollment was 700 instead of the 1,350 of today, the auditorium is in need of expansion and renovation. |

Security - Built in a happier time, security at the high school is compromised by the distance from the front entrance to the main office. |

District Office - Expanded district offices are needed to bring back the personnel, storage and meeting space which has had to be moved to other buildings. This represents an increase in square footage, but because the offices will be located in the basement of the classroom wing, the architect was able to make good use of space around the foundations. |
