Basic Power Point Hand-Out
Basic PowerPoint Hand-Out



  • Students are responsible for lining up their equipment or advising their teacher whether or not they will need a MAC laptop or a PC Laptop for their presentation.
  • All Keynote users – MUST use a MAC laptop for their presentation that has Keynote installed!

Inserting Motion, Sound & Movies (built-in) & (Motion – clips)


                        Choose: Insert [Movies sounds, Movie from clip organizer]

                                    Click on your choice.

                Choose: [Automatically to play] to play w/o prompting.
 

Inserting Animation

                        Choose:Slide show, custom animation

                                    Add effect.

            Using Scanned images –

                        Choose: [Insert, Movies & Sounds, Sounds from file….]

                                    Select --> click [OK]

                Choose: [Automatically to play] to play w/o prompting.

                Move sound icon to lower left corner of the slide.

Inserting Websites -

                        Insert [Hyperlink]

                     - Paste web address and name what you want to appear on your slide.

                Choose:  Slide-view to see how it will appear.

SAVING YOUR PRESENTATION

Ø                PC users - Save package for  (CD – Flash)
 
Ø                Select copy to Folder

                              Desktop

                                Close

Ø Copy to [copy to CD] or….Flashdrive…


Ø Only additional data needed if you have a separate CD for music.  Otherwise all imported or downloaded pictures and music will be in package.

ØMac usersFormat (PowerPoint Package)


VERY IMPORTANT:

    If using a PowerPoint program newer than used in the school you MUST….


Save Twice:

1)    Save as you normally would (as above) so your computer can read your presentation.

2)    Your second copy must be done as [SAVE AS} and choose the version the school has in order to present your work!

3)    This must be done even if you plan to e-mail it to your teacher.
