Community engagement is at the heart of UCFSD, and our students are taught a culture of giving from elementary school on. Many local businesses and community members help strengthen our instructional programs through sponsorships, endorsements, and the contributions of committed members and volunteers.
For the past 65 years the Chadds Ford Elementary PTO has hosted the Chadds Ford Art Show and Sale, with proceeds benefitting the school. The school also boasts an art collection that has several donated pieces from the family of Andrew Wyeth, an American artist considered one of the best known of the mid-20th century.
Each year the district supports the Unionville Community Fair.
The Hillendale Elementary School running club sponsors the annual Hillendale Husky Hustle 5K run with proceeds going to Operation Run.
Patton Middle School organizes an annual Run For Our Sons 5K that has raised over $160,000 to benefit the Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy.
The Unionville High School technical education department partners with the Toys for Tots program to provide toys for children in need.
UCFSD has a district-wide partnership with the Kennett Food Cupboard.
Our National Honor Society students provide countless community service hours to local organizations.
UCFSD partners with the Kennett Consolidated School District to host an annual community breakfast under the theme of “Two School Districts - One Community.”
