Service is one of the pillars of the value system at UCFSD. In preparing our students for success in life and to contribute to society we reflect the values of a community that emphasizes the importance of service and of parents that promote it's importance. Indian Post interviewed PECO employee and UHS alumnus Mr. William Brown, the son of math and science secretary Mrs. Cyndi Brown. Mr. Brown explained that he got involved with PECO, an electric utility company based out of Philadelphia, because he had been working as a contractor, and his father worked at PECO as well.
The Johnson’s helped start the Run for Our Sons, an annual spring fundraising event; however, at Joanna’s and Paul’s insistence, all the proceeds are used for Duchenne research; none of the proceeds go to the Johnson family. However, now is a time when the Johnsons themselves could use a helping hand.
