The Unionville-Chadds Ford School District will continue to evaluate things as we follow the spread of COVID-19 in PA and our neighboring states. Our custodial teams continue to engage in heightened cleaning practices, cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched objects and surfaces. Teachers are encouraging students to wash their hands regularly and cover their mouths when they sneeze and cough. We encourage students, staff, and families to follow the same practices that help prevent the spread of the flu and other illnesses. The health and safety of our students, staff, and the greater community is a priority.

Please stay tuned for regular updates as we continue to monitor and reassess the current situation daily. This page provides updates from the District, resources from national, state-level and county-level health agencies, tips to help reduce the risk in homes and the UCF community and more.

Thank you for your continued support in our efforts to keep everyone safe.

Current Phase of District Action Plan

Updated March 30, 2020

On March 30, 2020, Governor Tom Wolf announced that all K-12 Pennsylvania schools will be closed indefinitely in an effort to safeguard students, staff, families and communities at large from the spread of COVID-19.

We are in Phase 3 of our Pandemic Action Plan. District buildings and campuses are closed until further notice, and during this time students and staff are participating in distance learning. Spring Break will continue as planned (April 6th through April 13th).  April 14th will be an in-service day for teachers - this will be a day off for students. After spring break, students will return to distance learning on April 15th until further notice.

We will continue to monitor the situation and inform you of any changes.

Please see the UCFSD Pandemic Phase Level Action Plan below for details of each phase level.
