Required Employee Clearance Information

Clearances Required for Employment

All applicants must possess the following clearances dated within one year of employment.

·Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearances (Act 151)
·Pennsylvania Criminal Record Checks (Act 34)
·Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) Criminal Background Checks (Act 114)
·Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Release (Act 168)

Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance (Act151) Fee: $8.00

Clearance reports can take 10 days or more to be received, so please plan accordingly.

Pennsylvania State Criminal Record Check (Act 34) Fee:$22.00

Be sure to click “print certificate” to print actual clearance prior to exiting the system.

Federal Criminal History Record Check (Act 114) Fee:$22.60

The Pennsylvania Department of Education utilizes IdentoGO to process fingerprint based FBI criminal background checks for employees and prospective employees of public and private schools. The Pennsylvania Department of Education system must be used for ALL school employees, school contractors and student teachers.

Chester County Intermediate Unit is the main provider of fingerprint services for Chester County. There is currently a two-week lead time to schedule an appointment. Please plan accordingly if you need fingerprints completed for employment or volunteer purposes.

Act 168 Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Release

Unionville-Chadds Ford School District uses an online process for submission and processing of required Act 168 forms.Candidates will receive information as necessary during the selection process.
