Hybrid Learning

Drop-off:

• Bus riders - Rt. 82 Entrance
• Parent Drop-off - Cafeteria Entrance & Events Entrance
• 7:15 - earliest drop-off
• Students who arrive before 7:40 report to the cafeteria
• Advisory teachers coordinate morning locker use to ensure social distancing
• Masks must be worn upon entering the building

Dismissal:

• Middle school students will be held in their advisory classrooms during the dismissal process starting at 1:06 and ending at approximately 1:30.
• Middle school students who are being picked-up or are riding with high school students will be dismissed at 1:06 to walk to the lower student parking lot at the high school to get their ride. (after a quick check-in with their advisory teacher)
• Parents picking up their children will be directed to the access road located on East Doe Run Road across from Saint Michael’s Lutheran Church.  We will have staff members at the access road to direct vehicles picking up students onto the access road.  Please do not arrive before 12:30 PM. A staff member will open the access road gate at 12:30 PM.
• Once vehicles are on the access road, they will proceed to the middle school pick-up location at the tent in our back parking lot.  If the access road fills up, additional vehicles will be directed into the Saint Michael’s Lutheran Church parking lot and released when the access road begins to clear. • Students being picked-up will exit the building after their last period class.  We will not require them to check-in with their advisory teacher before leaving.  This will allow them to get to the tent a few minutes earlier than before.  After students are picked up, vehicles will be directed to Route 82 to exit our campus.
• Buses will line-up in front of the middle school parallel to route 82.  Adults will be stationed in this area and will notify our secretaries via walkie talkie as each bus arrives.  
• Students participating in sports will be dismissed from their advisory at 1:30. These students will go to the cafeteria to each their lunch and have a supervised study hall until practices/games begins at 3:15 PM. 

• Students will be permitted to carry backpacks
• Students report to advisory first
• Locker use will be permitted during advisory and Hawk Time.

Snack Parameters:

• Snacks must be easily consumable, and students must keep them in their backpacks
• Masks must stay on at all times (lift the mask to take a bite or a sip of water)
• Students may take a bite in the hallway between classes (mask on, lifting mask to take a bite)
• Students may take a bite or two in the classroom with teacher permission (masks on)
• There will not be a designated snack location or snack time
• Students are not permitted to share snacks or bring utensils
• Snacks will not be available for purchase at school
• Students should carry personal hand sanitizer if possible 

Before School

Prior to school fill out the at Home Daily Screen(including a temp), if you have traveled to a quarantine state please let office know.

What happens if my student gets sick at school?

If your student gets sick at school he/she will be sent to the nurses office.  If he or she needs to go home you will be called and your student will need to be picked up as soon as possible, at the Events door, where you will receive further instruction.

What if my student is not feeling well when they wake up?

If your student wakes up on his/her assigned day of in person learning and is not feeling well, but can do school, they are encouraged to ZOOM from home.

• Athletic study hall will be provided in the cafeteria.
• A grab-and-go lunch will be available for athletes who need to stay.
• Study hall will be supervised and all mitigation procedures implemented based on the UCFSD Health and Safety Plan.
• Athletes will be able to go outside for a supervised mask break.
