Regardless of grade, all Patton students are expected to read a minimum of three books of their choosing this summer. Our expectation is that middle school students will make mature choices regarding grade appropriate material. Although students are free to select their summer reading based on their interests and abilities, the following resources have been compiled to assist students in making their summer reading selections.
NYT bestselling author Laurie Halse Anderson is coming to Patton on May 2. All students will have the opportunity to hear her present. Students are welcome to bring in copies of her books to have signed. Please just drop them off in the library with a post-it indicating (1) the name you'd like the book signed to, and (2) student name/advisory so the book may be returned.
