Unionville-Chadds Ford School District

Middle School Project

A student walks out of school smiling on the last day

The Unionville-Chadds Ford School District’s home for 6th - 8th graders, Charles F. Patton Middle School (CFPMS) was originally constructed in 1971 with subsequent additions over the decades. Today, the building faces educational, structural, and operational challenges. In Summer 2024, the UCFSD Board of Directors began to explore solutions to those challenges that align with the district’s vision of educational excellence.

This page outlines the process so far, including the

  • Feasibility Study (2024),
  • Feasibility Study Report and Board Vote to Replace the Middle School (2025),
  • Selection of Breslin Architects for Design Services (2025), and
  • Selection of ICS Consulting, LLC for Construction Manager As Advisor (CMA) Services (2026).

Construction is currently slated to begin in Summer 2031.

UCFSD looks forward to building upon this page as further progress is made and we encourage your ongoing engagement in the process.

Thank you for your support in ensuring that our Middle School continues to be a place of pride in the middle!
